This caller was looking to see if I wanted to sell my house.  Asked me if I could "hear" them and I said "yes".  My kids later told me about a phone scam they had heard about on cbc, where they edit your voice to sound like you are agreeing to some big ticket purchase and you could end up having to pay.

Good for you.....I heard of the same scam....I got a call today and didnt answer my phone.

wanted to know, if i wanted to sell my home within the six months to a year, I replied no, not interested in selling my house, if I did
would go through a relative who is a real lestate broker. Thanked me for taking her call

They called twice. Frst time it was a machine asking us to leave a message, which was quite confusing. When they called back,my husband waited a full minute before saying hi, the person waited the full time and then spoke with a bizarre,computer-type voice and asked about selling our home. My husband said no, a couple more short answers & hung up. Very weird call, hope nothing comes of this. Obviously,don't sell your home to someone cold calling you from a strange number.

Called me and hung up. Called them back and spoke with someone who suggested I had submitted an application for a home appraisal and was interested in selling my home-  I had not.
