do not give money to these people ever! i know for a fact where the money goes, and it's not where you think it should. they called me the other day with a robo call the male voice sounded REAL. I kept asking "IS THIS A ROBOT" and he would reply "i am a real person, but i am using a computer" i would ask different questions and get the same exact answers over and over. see an example of same thing but a female voice.

the caller id was spoofed also. all it said on my id was the name of the city i live in. technically, a charity can robo call you, but the way the do this is seedy. when you pledge a donation they put you through to a real operator who will take your mailing address. they will send you a envelop so you can mail back a check/money order. this is not ran by the police, but by a third party (no telling what they do with your personal info. they may sell it.) they obey the FTC/FCC laws JUST ENOUGH not to get in any trouble. however, they are scammers because the money they git is to make people rich. once you make a donation, they will KEEP CALLING YOU until your phone breaks. they do not respect the National Do Not Call List. they think the BBB is a joke. corrupt cops have been busted in connection with police operation is several states.
Note: many cops will not join the fraternal order of police for ethical reasons. Good for them!
