Owner of this phone number is posting illegal ads on Craigslist for home that are for rent. The homes they are offering for rent are homes that are for sale and are not owned by the individual offering them for sale. IT IS A SCAM, jacob.dunkerson@yahoo.com is the email associated with the fraudulent ads

Thanks Diana for posting the alert.

Should this be reported to the police?  The state attorney general?  Consumer Fraud Alert?

I can confirm that this appears to be a scam.  The email now associated with it is stevenrcondiotti@yahoo.com.

I got the same phone number (225) 244-9691 from a scammer on Craigslist using courtney.minner@yahoo.com.   I think "Courtney Minner" is the the name of the actual homeowner of the home the scammers are trying to rent.  It looks like they open yahoo accounts in the name of the person selling the home, then list the home "for rent" on craigslist hoping you'll wire the deposit to them.  There's also another email:  familychioce@yahoo.com associated with a similar scam.  I inquired about a rental in California and was told to send $800 to ...wait for it... Nigeria!  This familychioce@yahoo.com guy is using the same email for numerous scams.  He even had the nerve to call me at the number on my inquiry email to ask me to wire the $ to him in Nigeria, with his broken, heavily accented english trying to convince me that he was the homeowner who had lived in So Cal his entire life.  Oh brother!!

My house was posted as a rental.  Same phone number, different email.  It is also for sale.  Hope they get those creeps.
