Thanks for the info everyone. I just started getting calls from these clowns about a week ago. It shows up on my caller ID as " IL, USA" I haven't answered yet but will the next time. I have a pre-paid legal plan at work, so I'll politely verify the company and caller's names, mailing address, and contact phone number and then inform them that my attorney will be contacting them. I bet that will work.

Here is a follow-up to my earlier post. I just got a call from the 224 AC number which directed me to call an 800 number, which I did. It is First National Collections. I spoke with a delightful lady named Miriam who is based in Sparks, NV. She said it was an attempt to collect a Capital One bill from 2002 (which I paid off some seven years ago). I asked her to send me a verification of debt letter so I could forward it to the law firm of Riling, Burkhead, & Nitcher, since they would be representing me in any further actions with F. N. C. Miriam told me to have a nice day and hung up on me.I wonder if I'll ever see that letter, or get another call? ;)

I keep getting threatning calls from this number saying I better call back immediately regarding an unpaid debt. They leave no name or who they are calling for. I called back the number to see who they were and he said he was calling for 1st National Bank and they wanted to speak to Michael. I said that there is not a Michael living here and never has been. Then he claimed to never have called my home, but his number was on my caller ID. I have never in my life dealt with this bank and I never will. Do these people go through the phone book and threaten everyone with the same last name? I'm angry as all he__ __ and I want this type of harrassment stopped.I would also like a letter of apology from these shady characters.

I just called the number back and it said it is a non-working number of ING.  hmmm

We get calls DAILY from this number - no one is ever there. Completely rude and a waste of company time.
