Got call tom 2247882006 caller ID said its local office...recording was looking for someone who doesn't live here so I hung up right after the first name was said.   I will be blocking this number.  (Our phone service allows me to do that)    Don't want to be harrassed.

Keep getting calls

getting numerous calls from this number,  never leave a message, just call and call. Harassment.

It is a collection company people!  They try what ever they have to to track down the people who owe money and refuse to pay.  Don't blame them, they are not making the debt.  Don't guess these people make much money for tracking down people who buy or use a service and then refuse to pay for it.   I got a call from them for someone I know, and stayed on line long enough (20 minutes), to talk to Tara.  Gave her the information I had about the non bill payer, happens to be my daughter, and asked them to remove my number from their list.  She told me she would and end of conversation.

For the past couple of months, I have been getting repeated calls from this number.   I answered the phone a couple of times, but there is nothing at the other end.  This is very annoying, particularly since they don't have the courtesy to talk.  I am on the Do Not Call List, so if this is a solicitor, isn't this illegal?  Another concern is that my cell phone's meter starts as soon as the phone rings.  Guess next step is the Attorney General's office.  Any suggestions prior to that action?
