My caller ID identified this number 218-834-8331 as Lake County. No message was left but this appears to be another fake number being used that is actually the fax number of a government office. These scam artists will stop at nothing to get personal data and/or money from the unsuspecting public.

Although this number is a legitimate Lake County fax number, it is currently being spoofed and used illegally. DO NOT answer calls from this number. Outgoing contact from this number requesting personal information or payment is not endorsed, authorized, or initiated by Lake County or any other government entity.
