Caller saying calling from Microsoft support center about possible hackers getting access to my computer and if that happens my computer will crash. So then he directed me to my computer ID number (not IP) and he confirmed it (which anyone can do from normal database if they hacked bestbuy), but then said he can direct me on how to fix it and change my IP for a $10 fee. So I told him that I would contact my IT specialist for a 2nd opinion cause he can do the same thing if I needed it done. Which he started getting frustrated and asking why I don't believe he is calling from Microsoft. As he got more and more frustrated, I asked why he was getting upset, then he hung up. Call was from 217-546-3181 Lawrence Scheufele who is an 80 year old man in Illinois. So even the number is hacked. This was an obvious scam to obtain your information. Don't fall for it. It was at 7:15 on a Saturday. Microsoft would not call you outside of normal business hours and would most likely contact you through email or mail.
