Is there no way to stop these people from harrassing everyone? Does the local phone provider know of this issue? The FCC should monitor what they are doing and there are likely serious or illegal circumstances going on with these people.

I received several calls too from this number but today is the first time I actually spoke to someone.  Heavily accented male voice asked me for our company's address.  We tried to give him a PO Box (which we use for all our deliveries) but he did not want that and seemed only interested in whether we have a store address.  I asked him his name but he did not give me his name.  I asked him  his company and he said he was update navigation links.  I again asked him which company he was working for and how he obtained the number he called (which is not a publicly used number to our office).  He simply responded "Oh, you're not a store?" and abruptly hung up.  Our company's non-public number and regular number are both on the DNC registry.  So, my recommendation is to tell this person you do not have a storefront as that seemed to get rid of the caller!

Looks like they're targeting small business owners.  Man with asian accent called my boyfriend;s cell today, asked if it was a business, he said "no", then if he sold carpet, he said "no, I install it." & the guy hung up.  Probably a sales scam using a real business name, they collect & don't deliver, since they were interested in business that sells a product, not a service.

I have our phones on do not call registry = that's as bogus as the scam calls!

They call all day long. I ignore the calls. Finally I answered and they wanted to know the nature of my business, I coudn't hardly understand the person. I replied why, what are you trying to sell. She told me that she needed to verify what my business does. I said whatever you are trying to sell I am not interested and FYI I am on the DNC list and I am going to report you to the FCC.

I have called back at the number and i heard a voice message that said"we have called on behalf of Navteq, we are in the process of listing businesses in the geographic database to help Vehicle navigation"

I guess this realated to the GPS we use. They might be listing the Points of Interests for the GPS providers.
