Got a call from 216-658-9829.  Wanted me to pay a hospital bill which I HAD NOT received as of yet.  I informed the caller that I have never gotten a bill, but if I had I would have paid it.  STRANGE - I will call the business office of the local hospital Monday morning and discuss the situation.  Was this credit card phishing?

u right...its fairifield med.  they r really bad about setting up a payment program with u...in three months they will send it to collections weather u r paying them or not and they forget to inform the collections agency if they receive payments from you so the balance goes down.  If you pay them off the charge still stays on your credit report as a bad report.....the girl  from the collection company can only go by what F/M tells her and most of the time they give her the wrong info.....acct number pmt belongs to is a really bad one,,they never give it to her correctly...if u r patient with her she will do her best to help u and not cost u any more money than the price of ur bill.
