Directv sales puke called my number even though I am on the DONOTCALL.GOV List.  A lot of good our tax dollars pay for DONOTCALL.GOV list.  I have filed 35 complaints and heard nothing back.  Great we are paying tax dollars to the government, they get a paycheck and do noting.  They are worthless!

Do you really expect them to be able to stop these guy's in a hour Like CSI on tv?  Doesn't work that way sadly!  Those offices don't have a whole lot of people working in them to cover the whole US either.  And the DNC list only keeps the honest business's honest.  The DNC reports are available for all agency's, have tried filing directly with the FTC & FCC? Big difference in how you file reports..  35 reports just to the DNC alone isn't going to be much help, even though they make that available to all the agency's.

You can also write a letter to Direct TV (add in they and their affiliates) to cease and desist all calls, send it via certified US mail.  Keep a CC for yourself.  
You can also get yourself a call blocking device or phone as well. Amazon has a pretty good selection for under 60.. the t-lock can block up to 1500 numbers ..

Although well thought out solutions, doing all that reporting and calling and writing is a collossal waste of time because it's ineffective.  The DNC Registry is a joke, contacting the FCC is not as straightforward as it is described here, doing all of that is just wasting more valuable time.  My suggestion is :  If you don't recognize the number, don't answer the phone nor call back;  if you answer and it's not a call you were expecting, hang up.  Write the number down for future use and then erase the number.
