Called said from "attorney general district attorney's office" (yeah those are two different things that don't make sense) and claimed there was a debt owed and that payment needed to be made immediately to avoid prosecution for "grand larceny". Then something about check fraud and a pay day loan, "medley financial", and asked for character references and their contact info. very aggressive. 100% confident this is a scam

I just had this number call me and said they were from the state of texas check fraud department and they were investigating Larry Scott and MY name came up. Gave me a case number and said I need to call back. I'm SURE this is some sort of scam. Funny they said they were from the State of Texas and this number is an OHIO number from what I can tell.
