I received a call from these people trying to collect for a credit card account.  Are these people for real?  They also wanted my debit card number to make 5 monthly payments.

I HAVE BEEN RECEIVING CALLS FROM THESE PPL ALSO. THEY EVEN CONTACTED MY JOB. I TOLD THEM TO FAX ME INFORMATION AND THE LETTER ASKS, "WE RESPECTFULLY DEMAND YOU NOT CONTACT THE FORMER CREDITOR FOR ANY REASON." **RED FLAG
