And just why do you expect the Do Not Call list to stop a scammer, especially one located in a foreign country?  Are you really that naive about how the DNC works and the purpose it was designed to serve?

Comes up Lynda M.Weaver. Heavy foreign accent and very rude. Knew was a scam and there was no computer issue for the person they were calling for.Told them she no longer had desktop only tablet while they insisted the family member did. Rudely he kept saying well you don't want me to fix problem and that it wasn't true that we did have it.Tried to say that her computer had a Windows problem and a virus.

This person is one of MANY who call from "Windows Technical Report system" claiming that there is a notice being sent from "inside" your computer.  They ask you to follow a series of instructions.  DO NOT DO THIS - IT IS A SCAM.  If you follow the instructions, it ALLOWS them access to everything stored on / allows them to put a bug in your system to retrieve protected information - including information to steal your identity.

Heavy foreign accent. "Windows Technical Service" calling supposedly. Ask to have a number to call them back, then they backpedal. Obvious, stupid scam. Who would fall for this? Why do they bother? How are they making money off this?

Call came up as "computer problem" i knew it was a scam call.

I answered...guy proceeds to tell me hes from windows technical support and that my computer was having some serious trouble. It was freezing, i had viruses, malware, and all kinds of junk. I was about to lose all my data....He said he could fix my problem quickly. I just needed to follow his instructions. Even if i wanted to follow his instructions i wouldnt be able to due to his horrible attempt at the english language. Im lucky i understood that he was from "windows technical support". I told him i thought it was funny "windows" was calling me since i have a MAC....he hung up.
