Very rude lady called, said she had very important news for the IT manager yet didn't know his name.  I sent her to a general voicemail and she called back and asked my position in the company, I told her receptionist, she said "oh JUST the receptionist, then I'll try back later then" then hung up.

I am an administrative assistant for a small company. I got a cold call from a woman at this company.

It is my job to try and screen calls for importance especially during the busy season here.

I asked her "what is this regarding? We are very busy at the moment and don't have time to take and sales calls."

To which she replied after laughing "Oh! So you are a  ********consultant?"

She then laughs and says "OH! I SEE YOU ARE JUST THE RECEPTIONIST THEN! I GUESS I WILL TRY TO CALL BACK AND GET SOMEONE MORE IMPORTANT" And proceeded to laugh again and hang up on me.

Let me also add that I am always extremely nice to sales people that call as I know they are only doing their job. The same as me.

These people are extremely rude and do not deserve to prosper! Please look elsewhere! We are all human beings who deserve respect.

sorry I she didnt say the receptionist...she called me a SECRETARY!
