This number called me and claimed to be a deputy in Mecklenburg county. They said that they would take my passport and visa- that it was a federal matter. My family called them back and they were very rude to them and would not give them information about the call. SCAM!

Received a call from this number....said they have an arrest warrant for me filed by some American person i dont even know....not first time but have received from similar number like this b4....always some desi claiming to be from some govt agency like Federal Crime Branch...

That would be your Boiler Room Bandits in India or Pakistan.

I just spoke to someone who said they were with the IRS.  I called the FBI and reported the number.

received call from this number claiming they are calling from federal agency regarding taxes  saying I had not filed my taxes . then calimed I had not filled some tax form , I told them I don't know what they were saying as I had copies of my tax form and I had received refund for that year , claimed I was in the country illegally , at which point I told them to do whatever and I will see them in court and that I will be reporting this call to the police and FBI at which time the caller hung up.
