Obviously this is a computer calling random numbers at a specified time interval and not enough real people to come on the line and either try to sell you something or ask you to take part in a poll or survey. If a phone representative is not available, it just goes "click", which many people think is someone hanging up on them, but it's just a computer disconnecting because no one is available to talk to you on their end. In general, if you get a call from an area code you are not familiar with, it's probably one of these random calls generated by computers for marketing, surveys, and polling companies, usually from another state. I just google the area code and it's usually Washington State or Texas or some other far away state, so I know it's not important. What's troubling is that I am on the national DO NOT CALL list, so this is a serious violation if this company is just ignoring this list. Problem is that it's hard to enforce, even though it's a $10,000 fine per call, many are taking the risk. Contact the District Attorney in Dallas Texas on this and then the calls will stop.
