I answered this call, and they said they were from some "National Association of Dental" something or other.  Were trying to sell some dental plan.  I explained I had good dental insurance, and they wanted to know how many procedures were covered, etc.  I stopped them and mentioned I was on the do not call list, and wondering why they called me.  She explained they are a not for profit organization, and not bound by the do not call, but would be happy to add me to their list.

Go ahead and answer, and simply ask to be put on their do not call list...she was very nice and polite, not rude at all.

Asked to be on their "Do Not Call List" over a week ago... Hasn't stopped them. I have received a call a day for the past week... Non-Profits should not be allowed to avoid the DNCL....

Yea, I had the same conversation with a guy that called, but when I told him I was insured and wanted to be put on the do not call list he hung up on my in mid-sentence.

Didn't answer, thanks for the info!  The companies who sell our info to all these telemarketers, non-profit or not, should be held legally responsible for invasion of our privacy and harassment.  Sheesh, it seems as though I LIVE on this site.

I am the Executive Director of the real National Association of Dental Plans, a non-profit trade association of dental benefit companies.  Someone alerted us to the fact that some person or organization is using a deceptively similar name and this phone number (not our phone number) to solicit individuals to buy dental coverage. These calls are not coming from NADP or any of our members.  

We have tips on spotting fradulent dental benefit offers on our website at www.nadp.org.  The fact that the number is not accepting outside calls is a red flag.  Legitimate dental plans have a real presence lice websites, customer service lines that take calls, etc.  Thank you all for reporting this and letting us know about it.
