Didn't answer just another spam call

Are you guys in the D/FW area?
I got a call from 214-446-4708 an hour or so after leaving the Dallas VA hospital. I answered and noone said anything. I couldn't hear anything and the call dropped after i said hello twice. I live almost 3 hrs away!! The best i can tell this is a Dallas area number. So why would a telemarketer from dallas be calling my number? I don't think it was a telemarketer i think its big brother and or the November Sierra Alpha needing to access my phone and to do so it required me answering the call to initiate the sequence.

You have heard of how large the building is in Colorado that houses mostly computers to store all our info right? I bet if this group talks long enough we will discover that we all have something in common or something we did that triggered this event and is not a telemarketer! !

Why would a telemarketer just hang up on many of these calls? On the calls that they claim were offering insurance did the caller say what company it was or give any details?

Agree with you. Got call from this number couple of times and I answered finally. Some lady by the name Sue was talking. She said she was from car insurance company. Since I was looking for new car insurance quotes, I decided to talk to her. She asked me the name of my insurance company. I answered. Then she asked me the zip code, I answered again. As she was preparing for third question, I asked her which company she represents. As soon as I asked a question, she hanged up. That's weird. There is something fishy going on.

Exactly. I do not answer calls I do not recognize. My voicemail clearly states "if this call is important please leave a message and I will get back to you" no voicemail. No importance.

Whoever it is rang my government-business cell phone. As soon as I said "hello" it dropped the call. Especially annoying in that my number is a government business line, a cell phone, and also registered on the do-not-call registry.  But I've received other telemarketer calls on this, including auto insurance and cruise line robo calls. And though I've reported several of these incidents to the FCC, telemarketeers still call this cell number.
