Yah, he called me too... he went by Tim Castle of J&R or J&L Process Serving. He told me he had papers to serve me but he was now out of the area. In attempts to oblige him, I asked him what area he was in. He was evasive twice and stated he was now across State lines. I asked him what area he thought I was in and he stated Wisconsin.... WRONG... Im California and have been for 26 years!!! This is a scammer... or a VERY confused process server... If he is a debt collector... It's a VERY old debt and/or one I am not aware of. Be aware of our rights folks! Know your states laws as it pertains to being served and what consitutes legal service. If you signed a contract in your home town with a creditor that is in another state, they have to sue you in the county in which the contract was signed.... Court orders from other jurisdictions, i.e, out of your county or state, may be invalid... check your state laws!... I wish he would've threatened me with jail... I'd sue him so deep and quick, his great grandchildren would be pantless.....
