I've only seen one other reference to this number online and poster also said he was collecting for the Sheriff's Department. He was very rude & kept asking for me by name. I told him he was calling a business and asked what did the call pertain to. Said he KNEW it was a business at [address] and insisted that I verify my name ... which I wouldn't do. No idea what he was trying to accomplish .. just that he was a total jerk! The number appears to belong to Southwest Public Relations in Dallas, TX.

I received a call from this number today and it was from the Dallas Sheriff Fraternal Order of Police.  The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) is an organization of sworn law enforcement officers in the United States.   Current membership is over 325,000 organized in 2100 local chapters (lodges), state lodges, and the national Grand Lodge. Website: http://www.dsofop.com.

They wanted me to donate $25 to help the 'Say No to Drugs and Gangs' Program.  The man was very nice.
