FYI -
There is no such road in DC. The roads are named for letters (A Street), numbers (6th Avenue), and states (1600 Pennsylvania Ave).

200 Independence Ave SE, in DC is the Library of Congress. Pretty neat trick to get a Gov't agent from LOC to call and offer you tax money.

Same deal as everyone else. He said he was calling from the US Government Grants Dept. He even knew my address. Unlike the other calls I've received in the past 2 days, this guy actually didn't hang up on me. He said he'd remove my info from their system - which I'm sure was a lie.

Keeps calling. I wont answer. How do I report this number to have it blocked for harrasing calls? Any suggestions?

You can report it to your state's attorney general's office as I did with several other types of calls but you won't like the answer I got. Most of the 50 states are involved in a class action suit against these scammers. It doesn't matter if your number is on a do not call list. The calls actually originate off shore even though this one is supposed to be in Los Angeles. Until the suit is resolved, hang up.
