I received a call yesterday from a fake DEA agent accusing me of bribing another DEA agent. I told him that was insane and I hung up. He called back and left a voicemail telling me that "if I don't call him back within 5 minutes, I wouldn't be having a Thanksgiving dinner and would be cold turkey". He called from 213-928-3311, a Los Angeles number. I called him back and reminded him that extortion is illegal, it is a federal crime and that I am saving his voicemail to give to the FBI and the DEA, and then hung up before he could say anything. The guy talked in a very thick Hispanic accent.
I didn't receive any more phone calls from that number, but within a few minutes I received a call from Florida (305-515-6097), and a few minutes later from New Haven, CT (203-201-2000), neither of which I bothered answering. This morning I got a call from Ohio (740-557-3660) - they left a voicemail but didn't say anything on it.
