I'm in the middle of a work meeting, I get a call from 213-799-0709 out of Los Angeles, California.  I don't know anyone in LA, CA, I let it go to voicemail.  After the meeting, I check for a voicemail and there is one.  A female computer voice left a snippet of message , "(voicemail begins)...press 1 now and you will be transfered to our 24 hour security...(voicemail ends)".  I call the number back, no ring and no connection happens.  I try a couple more times with a 1+, same thing.  I Google the number and find 800notes.com, my suspicions are confirmed.  Phone Scammers trolling for PCI and PII info.

I said hello and a message started tp play, message said they were from "somewhere" (I didn't understand what they said) and that my debit card had been locked. I hung up at that point.  It wasn't my bank, and I'm sure my debit card is just fine.  It was very similar to the bogus calls that said they were from Chase bank a few months ago.

Just rec'd the same call you did. . .said my debt card had been used by someone unknown (not even my bank) ????  What up???

I just got a call from this number. I didn't catch what organization it was from, but it was a recording saying that my debit card has been locked. I highly doubt that because it was not from my bank.If you get one of these calls, do NOT give out any of your banking info!!

Someone calling from Grow Financial saying my debit card had been locked, and if I wanted to activate it, enter my card number.  Too bad I don't have a Grow Financial account.

Received an early Saturday morning recording saying my Global debit card has been locked and to proceed by pressing 1.  I just hung up.  I don't have a Global card.
