The person from this number said his name was Patrick Stone and that he was a representative of the Department of Financial Fraud Enforcement. He was a foreigner but he spoke clear English. He claimed to be calling me because his supposed client was sueing me for 8 thousand and something dollars.

I got the same call but my was a Steve Wilson said I owe $8582.00 to a cash now of America is this a scam?

Just got the same call.  He had a foreign accent and said his name was Steve something.  He called my work when I was not working.  A coworker gave me his number so I called him back.  He asked me if I had a lawyer.  He said he was working for cash now and they were suing me for eight thousand dollars. He also said that the police would come to my work and arrest me for fraud.  Does anyone know if this is a scam or a debt collector agency making threats?
