I received a calls on both my cell phone and home phone from 213-622-9999 which is a club in Los Angeles.
The woman gave me a story about a courier in my area to be there from 12-2, ID needed, witness needed and to call 855-817-4836 to make arrangements.  Failure to accept the documents will be considered a direct refusal to comply.

I knew it was a scam when no company name was given and I Googled the Caller ID.  I should have saved the VMs.  I will save them and file a report if they call back.

I literally just got the exact same phone call from the 213 number but I didn't answer. Then I get a call from my dad who lives 100 miles away saying this number called him and he spoke to a woman named Vanessa James. He said she is with a private courier service, needed to serve me with papers and gave a case #. I listened to the voicemail I rec'vd from the 213 # and it was the Vanessa James woman saying she needs me to meet with her or she will visit me at work or my relatives. Sounds super fishy.

I'd have told her "Come on down, I'll have the cops here waiting for your!!"

Did anyone ever show up to serve these papers?  Just curious, because I am getting the same calls from a really intimidating man saying he was going to my place of work, then coming to my house then going to all my relatives houses to get information about my whereabouts.  This seems really shady to me and he never says who is calling with or what this is in regards to.

I am home by myself and not comfortable with this situation at all.

It's a scare tactic, don't sweat it.  It's an illegal tactic but they're counting on your fear and lack of knowledge to scare you into complying.
