Got a call at work. It was a recorded message saying "contact the IRS, it is urgent that we hear from you"

They have a recorded message that states, " you are being sued by the IRS" please call this number back for critical information. Sounds like a scam to me!

Got the same scam call, no agent identification

they want to know my name and last name to keep going with the message , easy to recognize accent ( people from India)

I called back from a different number than the one they called me on.  I said that I had received a bogus call and voicemail from this number.  The guy said he was going to transfer me to "an agent".  He put me on hold for 3 seconds and then picked the phone back up and said "you've been transferred to an agent, how can I help you".  When I told him I knew he was the same person, he just denied it.  I hung up.  I definitely think it's a scam.
