Have received calls from this number for two days in a row now...each time, the phone call is preceded by a phone call that shows "unknown caller" in the caller id.  We have our fax machine hooked up to our home phone and if we do not recognize the caller, we let it ring through to the fax (those who know us, would try our cells if they reached our fax). I called them directly back and got the message "this number is no longer in service".

Asked to speak with my first name & then questioned last name & I said "you called me."  Said I requested info about Centenary (?) College, which I have not & when questioned where they got my number from, said that I must have filled out something online about college or a job app at "one of their websites," which I have not.

Did you ever find out who this was?

No, I never found out where it came from, just what is there.  There was little to nothing to be found about calls from this number until my note, and then a rash of calls after.
