Spoofers can put any area code and/or prefix they want. It has nothing to do with reality.

rec'd call from "VOIP CALLER" [all caps] using number 1-213-534-1871. left no message. blocked call.

Received telemarket phone call from these people. A female voice regarding construction work for my home. She said she wasn't a telemarketer. I called her a liar and hung up. Later I checked voicemail and found a message in her voice saying I "shouldn't piss her off when she had my phone and address but I didn't have hers and to just wait and see what was going to happen now". Is this normal with telemarketers? Should I call the police? Any advice would be appreciated. She sounded really spooky.
