A call from this number stated the call was for (a relative of mine) Here it is verbatim: " This message is for _______. I'm calling from XTS to set up delivery of legal documents. Apparently there was a refusal to sign for them on your behalf. To avoid further legal issues you have 2 hours to call the firm that paid for our services. The number is 213-375-8528" A "complaint reference number" was given, then "Call NOW". When I returned the call I recognized the voice, so I knew it wasn't "the firm that paid for our services". I gave him the reference number and asked what legal issues my relative had. He said he couldn't divulge the details without their consent, but said if they didn't call they would "miss a court date". I asked what kind of court date, my relative had never had legal issues, and if it was about money. He asked my relationship, and stated "Who said anything about money? We pay our firm to deliver documents, not call peoples' relatives". I stated "that's exactwhat happened, so you need to talk to your firm". Then he hung up. I called back, got a recording saying it was a "loss mitigation service".
