These people are scam artist. They aren't even on the continent let alone the country. They[re sitting in India using technology that allows them to make calls and have them look like they're coming from the U.S. I know this because of the TON of research I've done including talking to the Attorney General's office in my state. Block them from you're phone and they just start using another number. It get's annoying but if you let them know they're getting to you the calls just increase in frequency. I started answering by saying "hey buddy!" and they started hanging up. They stopped for awhile but started back today.

I blocked them and they just added a number to their phone number when they call me to get through the block.. they refuse to take NO for an answer.

If they are calling you on a cell phone download add a caller blocker app from your store and it will stop most the calls.  I download one and this call didn't even come through and it's not on my call block list.  The call block catches numbers that have been report frequently as spam and stop them automatically.

Well I did one better, I use a very loud horn and keep using it each and ever time they call. My friends and family know what I am doing so they know enough to call my cell first and then call on the home phone. You can't block them because they will get a number from the police dept and use theh number to show up on you id.

I blew my police whistle into the phone and keep doing it each time they call they will either stop or go deaf
