Loans of America FL has reached out and informed BBB that they are receiving complaints that are not theirs. These complaints reference consumers applying for loans online and receiving a call from a man with an accent from several different phone numbers advising that they are approved for a loan, but require a deposit to be made on a GreenDot or a MyVanilla pre-paid card ranging from $100-$350 for a $1000 - $5000 loan. They're told that the loan would be available usually by the end of that day. When it's not there, the consumer calls back to advise the company, who then states that additional money is needed due to "Credit Bureau" blocks, or alerts on the credit files, etc. requiring more. The consumer never receives the money.
BBB advises that if this happens to you, file a complaint with www.IC3.gov, the Internet Crime Complaint Center, a division of the FBI and your local Attorney Generals office.
