It is someone posing as a Federal Trade Commission employee (John Sosa) and scamming people in false sweepstakes winnings.  The scam is to get people to pay luxury tax or wire transfer fees to get the money they won.  He is also working with someone at this number 347-252-3710 posing as a Bank of America attorney.  This has been going on for at least two months and these jackoffs are still running the same scams over the same phone lines.

Here is another number attached to the same scam.  This is the one in Las Vegas that these people are calling from to say you won a sweepstakes.

I called the numbers back and the guy actually admitted to scamming my father, called me a [***] and proceeded to tell me to catch him if I can.  I have reported all of this information to the Federal Trade Commission.  The more people report these numbers and this scam the more likely the FTC will apply the necessary resources to taking this operation down.

I received an e-mail using this phone number asking for help with a child support modification.  Also used the e-mail for a real attorney who is quite shocked that someone is using his name "John Sosa" and information.
