I got one this morning to my cell voice mail.
As I listened to it, it was a guy with Chinese accent. There were also a lot of other Chinese guys speaking in the background (sounded like they were suggesting to do this or do that ...).
Reading the threads, what is interesting about these calls (calls from this #) is that they are all happening during 2014. (during last 2 months..).
I wonder how they got my smart phone # though. One thing I have been doing more frequently is that I have been downloading some game apps to my smart phone.. (some poker games, etc..). I also installed BlueStacks (Android emulator in PC) last night to watch some smartphone internet news on my PC. (This may require to sync my cell # to BlueStacks company or some other 3rd party).
My cell # is registered into "www.donotcall.gov" list. I register once a year, but it seems like it isn't much effective after all.
Perhaps, if government can't do much about these guys, there should be a privatized company who can go after these guys.
I am sure they can make some big bucks ! I am willing to pay $10 per year subscription fee for a guarantee that I don't get any scam calls. Hey, Google, AT&T or any app. developers, here is a business idea for you.
