Call received  6PM with caller ID of VERIZON.... voice stated he is "Paul" in shipping deparment ready to ship  alarm controler....   [we did not order]....just cut off call......

called today, CID shows Verizon,       (with the comma) left no msg

Since they start the message with "your package is ready", they don't fall under the do not call registry. It's the same criteria as the political survey scam that tries to sell you a bahama cruise upgrade from a "free cruise" if you take a two question survey.

At one time I had a skype phone number and it was possible to set it up to display any phone number or name I wanted. So, I believe ( i could be wrong ) it's possible that even the caller id may show "verizon" ect and it not actually even be that person. One of the best things I have ever bought in my life was a call blocker box that blocks 1500 numbers. I Love it! Best of luck, and many silent days come To you. ;)

Just another spam call trying to tell me that my medical alert is ready to be shipped.  Try to call back -- no answer.  Obama's DO NOT CALL service is about as good as the rest of his administration policies.
