Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

I was waiting for a call, so I picked up when the phone rang. It was a recorded message from "Credit Card Services" about my "account". Right. I waited and then pressed 1 to speak to somebody. It was -- ta da! -- the infamous Heather, herself! Indian, I think. Hindi. I could barely understand her, but got that her company's name is "Credit Card Services". I could hear many voices in the background, including men. Do the men also call themselves "Heather"? Anyway, I told her that what she is doing is illegal, then hung up. I immediately filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, Confirmation No. 66892823. I report ALL telemarketing calls and texts. Every single one of them and I don't wait around to do it. I tried to text the FTC Complaint number back to 212-257-1383, but got a return text saying the number is a landline and my message can only go to their voice mail for a 25 cent fee.
