* Microsoft NEVER cold-calls people to tell them they were scammed or their computer is infected.
* You did not get lifetime software, you got a lifetime of being soft in the head.

This number is definitely a scam. Their strategy was once you spent over two minutes to talk with them , you would be referred to an experienced staff to continue their brain-wash that they really could help fix your computer, no matter what you told them. I am a security specialist and just had a new computer last month. They didn't listen to what I told them and just try to not disconnect the phone call conversation to get the chance in remote control your computer. They had a strong foreign accent. I wish I could track the caller's location. From the phone call context, I knew that my private information has been leaked at some institutions.
