called at four am to my elderly parents home...said it was summit county jail...prompted grandma to push 1 to accept phone call...she did and then could not hear or understand the voice on the other end

yeah scard! help

I have gotten 7 calls from this number in two days. It is a recording from allegedly the summit county jail. A message is left every time and it is a recorded message that says its a free call and asking me to push buttons. It seems strange. That the summit county jail would be using a Texas number. I am assuming the summit county jail they are referring to is in akron Ohio. I am not sure if there is a summit count jail in Texas or not. I do not plan to answer and would advise the same caution.

Yes it is the summit county jail in Akron  Ohio....My nephew just called me from there. The reason its an out of the area # is because they don't want to have people reverse dialing them......

I have received a call from this number 5 times in 2 days now.  The recording indicates as others have said, it's a free call from the Summit County jail and then there recorded voice (3 from a Carlos Shopshire and 2 from a Daniel Gurly) neither of whom I have ever heard of.  I live in Summit County, Ohio and have had several of my sons friends call from Summit County jail and they do not come through a Texas phone number.  I also work for attorneys and I have done the research and neither of these two people have a record in Summit County, Ohio.  I don't plan on answering these calls but they sure at ANNOYING!
