Got same scam ran on me. I'm used to middle eastern trying to scam me but these were americans. i actually paid the money out of fear (well started a payment plan). As I investigated it seemed fake. I called back and tge person got defensive when I asked for the companies address. She said she would transfer me to the person handling my case I automatically hung up to call my bank. Before I could he calls back to say they're going through with charges. I questioned him some more and he kept his cool. It was evident it was fake.

I called the place that they alleged I got the loan from none existed.

claim to be a company called affidavit invetigator processors, they claimed i had a payday loan online with a company that i knew did not do online loans, they refused to give me thier address, or business lic number. i called the payday company and got a letter stating i had never had a loan with them, the names above are some of the people i spoke with.  the payday company sent me forms to file with the Federal Trade commission. they made the same claims as above, that they wanted to speak to my lawyer and to "govern yourself accordingly"  and that they would contact the state attorney general office. all kinds of bogus stuff, but when asked for public information about them they refused to give it. I will be filing a complaint and possibly suing. the phone number is out of san antonio texas.
