I get calls from these people at least twice a day.  I do not know anyone in Texas and when I call the number back I either get a busy signal or a voice mail saying Metro News.  I left a message to them that I was on a do not call list and to never call here again.

Because they are not scammers.  They are Bill Collectors hiding behind fake polling, marketing  or survey calls which are allowed under the do not call rules.  They are Bill Collectors trying to get info on the persons at your phone number to determine the location of the person they are looking for.

Do not answer the phone or give out info.  It is known that they also use voice recognition software to identify persons who might just answer the phone with a 'hello'.
