started getting calls today from this number. I didn't answer it. It called me twice in a row but did not leave voicemail message.

left voicemail - identified as IRS and that I'm being audited
I called back - they asked for my phone # - knew my name based on that
gave me the name "Nick Jones" although did not sound american - and a badge number (presumably trying to sound official)
said I was being audited for "miscalculations" on my taxes for 2008-2012
then told me I had an warrant out for my arrest AND a lien on my assets!
I told him this all sounds very unusual - he repeated "sounds unusual?" then hung up on me.

Had a landline message that was broken up as to being able to understand. Only word that I could make out was IRS or something like it. Knowing that this was most likely a Money Con Job I called back the number on my caller ID. just in case there was an issue.  I am current and good with IRS, no problems.
Number rang at lease 7 times before it was answered. Did not tell them my name or number and asked what it was about, the personal with a easy accent to hear that he was from India the country.  Defiantly a large phone bank in the back-ground that could be easily heard. I stated that this was a set up, or con job, they said they would transfer me to a local sheriff, or something like that. By this time that knew my phone number and name and address, they stated so and were correct with my personal info.  I became very un-comfortable at this time, yet they hung-up.
So, have I been marked for some type of finical attack, I do not know?  Will follow up as issues progress.
I should add that calling this number back might not be wise act as I did.  I did locate this number 210-390-9420 as being located in San Antonio TX.  Again could be phone bank that start in San Antonio and transfers to a Boiler-Room phone bank in India .

It is all a SCAM. I am reporting to the FBI, FTC and Office of Homeland Security. DO NOT FEAR. The IRS does not leave messages like this. It's more of a bunch of foreigner SH---- thanks to our current administration who lets ANYONE in this country now! They may be outside the country as well though and may  have access to IRS debts or something, making their LIES more believable.

It was an automated voice message stating that I was under investigation by the IRS for tax issues. Concerned to call back or not, thinking this is fishing for my personal information. I would think that the IRS would be contacting by mail for any tax issues. Sounds like a scam to me. I did not call back, after reading the other comments noted online.
