Received text messages at 5am in response to a resume I have posted. He said it's a "cashier" from home job. I would receive payments from their "customers" then forward them to an "account executive". He said he has a business bank account set up for this job, but its " processing", so in the meantime, why don't I use MY ACCOUNT as the checks clear "in just a few hours"! I asked him what company this was for and where they're located and he answered "PNash art & craft gallery, San Antonio Texas". Of course, I Googled it both with and without the location and found no such business. Obviously a check cashing scam. They're basically looking for a mule to accept all their stolen checks and deposit them in order to get " clean" money to wire them. A family friend lost 3k this way last year.

Yes, the checks are no good.  No check "clears" in a matter of hours.  Especially if it is drawn on a out of the area bank.  The money is available to you the next day, but if the check fails to clear, you are responsible for the money and the fees.
