First got a phone call from 512-628-9522 said she was with check fraud unit they left a message said for me to call them and refer to the file # when I return the call and good luck. I called them and got a voicemail left a message who I was, my # and my file #. While I was leaving message I got a call from same phone # but didn't get it answered in time so I called the number back and got voicemail again and did not leave a message. They called me back 5 minutes later when I preceded to give the woman my name and file# she asked me if I was some man. I told her no. She then asked me for the file # again so I gave it to her and she asked me if I was some other lady's I told her no she was wrong again so it must be a scam. She hung up. So another lady called me back about 6 hours later from the same # and said she was also with check fraud, asked me some questions and asked me if she could transfer me to her attorney. So the attorney gets on the phone tells me his name is Bob Howard and gave me his ID#. He said that unless I settled today for some unforeseen bogus amount of money that the sherriff in the county he gave me would issue a warrant for my arrest or I could appear at the sherriff's dept to settle this and he gave me the address. He also told me that they would not even talk to me, how convenient for them. I told him I did not have any money because I am unemployed. He then starting getting nasty with me and telling "so you are saying you aren't going to take care of this. can you not call someone to help you take care of this today. I told him I didn't know I would call him back. So I searched his direct # online and wound up here. I called him back at his direct line and some other man answered the phone. I asked him who he was and he told me you called me. I asked him again what his name was and he said Tony Alexander. I said thank you and hung up. I also called the sherriff's dept and told them what was happening and that I was trying to get a hold of someone there to find out if this was legit or not. After I explained about the call's the officer advised me to call the sherriff's dept of where I was at when they called and file it with them.
