This number called my place as well. There was a long pause before someone responded to my answer. That is generally never a good sign.  Someone with an Indian accent stated that their name was Howard and claimed that they were calling on behalf of Verizons.  The connection was poor and full of static and the telephone number of "123-1231" was unbelievable.

Any call from this number has got to be bogus. Gee, this country has even outsourced our scam artists. On the bright side, just like other imports, the quality is poor and can be easily avoided.
