That number 209-813-4110 called me and said I was eligible to receive Free Grant money and asked me if I had a checking account,  my name, address, debit card number or routing number. The charge would be $300.00 and once they receive that then they would issue a $7,000.00 Government Grant  deposit to me. They gave me an approval number and a code number. I am writing to find out if they are legitimate or a scam? Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks

TOTAL SCAM!  Do not give them anything.   There is no grant.  They will want payment in the form of a Green dot money pak which is untraceable!  You will wind up with  no grant money and you will be out $300.00.  For crissakes don't do it!   DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY FINANCIAL OR OTHER INFORMATION. Do not return their calls.  Block their calls.

Rule:  If you receive a cold call from someone with an Indian accent who 1. offers you something or 2. threatens you, you know it's 100% certain that its a scam and you should hang up immediately and block the call.
