I just got hit with this scammer.  A heavy Indian accent.  Almost extorted $711.00 from me.  He may have gotten this figure from working at 711.  Told me he was from IRS.  What a jerk.  Luckily, I asked his manager to whom I was transferred because I was ready to settle .  Luckily for me, I had enough wit in my state of shock to ask him to wait for me to connect our with my cpa. He hanged up.

Identified themselves as IRS re tax fraud. Robot-sounding voice. When I returned call the ask for info. I said that I wasn't going to give info, they said They would see me in court?? Sounds very bogus.
