text message received

Yes,I tried googling this telephone number because I do not know from which state it was.I got a text message from this number telling me that my card which starts with 4018 has been deactivated and that I need to call 202-550-0396.I did not send a text message reply on that 208 area code.Mine is an AT and T prepaid cellphone.Hope that something must be done about this because I do not have a credit card which starts with 4018.Mine is a Navy Federal credit/debit card only.

got a text

We got a text from this nuber saying; North Valley Bank Alert: Your CARD has been deactivated. It then gave us a number to call. It was a local number and when I called it from my home phone it came up as a long distance call. I think it is some type of scam. We still have our money in our account. I will report it to my bank on Monday. We just got the text today at6:58PM
