Received a call from this number today.  Said they were from Verizon, my cable provider, and were offering me 24 months of free HBO.  When asked if this offer was anywhere online, they said no.  I politely declined and hung up.  They called back saying something unintelligible and then hung up. I hope they weren't the real Verizon; I don't care to switch now.

i have the same calls as well. They claim to be Verizon asking me to upgrade my internet to the new quantum. I find it fishy because if Verizon calls my home, which is rare "Verizon" is what shows up on the called Id.
