Silence at beginning so I responded our company name then hung up

Called, no message. Comes up MAINE CALL which I thought was strange.

Robo-call saying that some committee had approved my nomination for a community award. BS. Added to reject list.

Robot caller.  Caller I.D. comes up "MAINE CALL"  States that some committee had approved my nomination for a community award. Press #1 if you are business owner, press #2 for employee... I pressed 2 and they disconnected me....

Company did not identify itself.  Strong NY accent from Maine informing me of a committee that approved me for a community award.  Exactly as described by Skippy above, except I waited through the entire message hoping I would be given a button to push to take me off their list.  Instead, this NY male voice said, "Press one now, press one now, press one now." When I didn't do anything, there was a hangup.  I think he was trying to hypnotize me.  Very funny.  BTW, I am from NY, whatever that means.
