Scammers call me at work, I quit trying to argue with them and just stopped answering. They follow zero laws-this "debt" I owe is not legit to begin with, I filed bankruptcy so it wouldn't be collectible even it were legit, they threaten illegally, they don't cease and desist per federal law. I had the same number call me today on my mother in laws phone stating the same exact thing. Is this a scam?  I serious dont think that if charges in my county were to come against me it would hardly come from Maine.

This scam has been around for years; don't answer, don't call back.  These bottom feeding scumsuckers buy old debt for pennies on the dollar (most always past the Statute of Limitations too) and try to collect on it.  No, they're not coming to get you anywhere!. First of all, they don't warn you ahead of time, and second of all debit is a civil matter, not criminal.  These people HOPE to scare somebody into paying them.  DON'T DO IT!!!
