I have received numerous calls from 207-616 telephone numbers Sometime 3-4 per day. I notified the Somerset County Maine Sheriff's Office.

Says they have a case against me. I believe it is the IRS scam trying to fraudulently collect money from people.

A recorded message states that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me. I am to call 207-616-5939 for more information. This is some type of scam. A legitimate lawsuit must be served upon the defendant. I will not be calling the scammers.

The IRS never, never calls anyone.
All correspondence is done through the mail, unless you call them.

I got the same exact message from this number. I reported this scam directly to the IRS.
